How to reach Khajuraho
Air : There is
a small airport in Khajuraho and it is connected by Indian (Indian
Airlines) and Jet Airways for the regular flights to Delhi and Agra.
Rail : The nearest
railheads are Mahoba (64 km) and Harpalpur (94 km). Jhansi (175
km) and Satna (117 km) are convenient railheads for visitors from
Delhi, Mumbai, Calcutta, Chennai, Agra & Varanasi. Since, Satna
is on Allahabad-Mumbai main line.
Road : Khajuraho is connected by regular bus
services with Mahoba, Harpalpur, Satna, Jhansi, Gwalior, Agra, Jabalpur
& Bhopal. There are also daily bus services with Chattarpur,
Sagar, Panna, Agra, Allahabad and Varanasi.

Climate
The climate of this region is tropical. The climate of Khajuraho
is of an extreme type. The summers are hot with the mercury climbing
up to 47°C. On the other hand, winters can be very cold with
temperature dipping down to 4°C. The monsoon starts from the
month of July and lasts until September. The annual average rainfall
is 114 cm. The best time to travel to Khajuraho is from October
to March.
