How to reach Pench


Air : One can reach Pench through Nagpur, (92km), and 80 km along National Highway 7 to Khawasa and then 12 Km to Turia gate.

Rail : The nearest railhead is Jabalpur (195 km).

Road : Pench is165 km drive along the National Highway 7 to the Sukhtara village via Seoni and then 30 km to Karmajhiri. The other roads, which connect Pench, are Jabalpur (195km), Nagpur (92km), Chhindwara (120 km) and Seoni (60km).

Destinations Near from Pench
Nagpur, the winter capital of Maharashtra, is situated at a distance of around 93-km from Pench. The main attractions here include the Sitabuldi Fort, Council Hall, and Cathedral of All Saints, High Court, Raj Bhawan, and Chhatris of the Bhonsle dynasty.

Climate
Pench has a cold climate from October to January, with the temperature falling from 16* to 3* C. February to March is a bit cooler and the temperature is 16* C to 26* C.

However, the monsoon is from April to June with a temperature of 26 * to 42* C.

The Pench National Park is open to the visitors from October 01st to June 30th each year and closed during the rainy seasons (July - Sept.)

However, the best time to visit the park is between February to June, since the cool season is much more comfortable and still very good for wildlife. The park is closed from July 1 to September 30 because of the monsoon
