How to reach Amarkantak

  • Amarkantak is located 245 km from Jabalpur, 261 km from Rewa and 67 km. from Shahdol.
  • The nearest railway station is Pendra Road from where it is at a distance of 50 km on the Katni - Bilaspur section of the southeastern Railway.
  • Amarkantak is connected by regular bus service with Shahdol, Umaria, Jabalpur, Rewa, Bilaspur, Anuppur and Pendra Road.
  • The convenient airport from Amarkantak is Bilaspur (101-km), Dumna Jabalpur (240 km), Jabalpur (228 km.) and Raipur (230 km.).

Climate
The actual monsoon months are July, August and September, but there is also the presence of some rains during the winter season. However, February is the only month, which is comparatively dry. However, one can travel the entire year to visit this place.
