terracotta figurinesChhota Udepur tribal potters make the famous long necked terracotta figurines of the Gora Dev (tribal horse God) that protects crops, villages and families from evil spirits, evil intentions and natural calamities. Costing about Rs200 to Rs1400, terracotta figurines and clay pots are beautiful gifts to take back home. Also available are mud wall hangings and plaques inset with mirrors.

Vadodara is the nearest town from Chhota Udepur(102 km). There are some good markets at Vadodara that sell everything from factory made, mass production items to hand crafted furniture, textiles and the entire selection of handicrafts that Gujarat is so famous for. The bulk of shopping is done in the shops at Raopura, Mandvi, Teen Darwaza and Lehripura Mandir Bazar. Modern shops selling contemporary fashion apparel and furnishings can be found at Alkapuri Arcade and National Plaza.
