Bhuj ShoppingThere are a number of villages around Bhuj worth visiting but they require a special permit from government offices. Some of the important villages among them are Bhujjodi, which is famous for weaving, Padhar and Dhaneti, which are popular for traditional Ahir embroidery, Dhamanka, known for block printing and Lilpur, known for its embroidery. Handicrafts, traditional objects, hand-printed and embroidered fabrics made and sold at Dhrang.

Bhuj ShoppingBe it the bandhni (tie-n- dye fabric) and batik textiles, or the intricate silk embroidery done on leather, each artifact is a labour of love for the craftsperson. Different castes and communities do colorful thread embroidery on cloth in their own distinct way. The region was also known for the enamel work done on gold and silver jewelry, lacquered wood, seashell toys and metal bells.
